Finding motivation in your practice while injured, sick or having an emotional time.

Practice while you are feeling great and healthy is much easier, although It still requires discipline and devotion.

But what about when you are not feeling good? Possibly due to injury, illness, grief or some type of emotional low. These things will happen in our life’s at any point. The importance of a teacher in the system of Yoga is crucial to one’s spiritual growth. The community support is important as well. Someone that has walked that path and can shine some light in the dark tunnel of tough times and fear. I have experienced, dark tunnels many times. Understanding that these obstacles are part of the journey and will lead you to important lessons of enlightening learning opportunities.

Frustration and despair will be there. But sometimes we can use these feeling to work the weaker side of us. Finding that inner strength that we all have deep inside us to propel us forward into a real change. Letting go and accepting changes are the firsts real steps of loving yourself and allowing healing in our life’s.

When our egos are not in control of our decisions. We can really see clear the other side of the tunnel.

Patience and devotion is the second element to find acceptance thru difficulty times instead of fighting the situation. Finding a source of inspiration and looking at the positives sides of every situation. They all have something to look upon it, If you watch sincerely.

In todays era the physical practice of Yoga, has been too much the center of conversations and focus, instead of the vast knowledge of Yoga as a whole. The physical practice is just one layer of a very complex and profound system. To be able to practice the other layers can bring you peace and equanimity in hard times when your physical body may need a time to rest and heal.

Is important to have a strong community and teachers that values spirituality versus physicality.

Try to sit in a quite place and observe the situation you are in. Then look deep inside you and acknowledge all the positive things that are happening in your life. One of the most precious realities is that you are indeed blessed too be alive.

After you recognized the many positive things happening in your life. Take a moment to craft a plan of how your going to inspire yourself to go forward in life and not to feel pity about your situation. Look for support with people and teachers around you that have inspired you in any way. You don’t need to do this alone :) and I am here to remind you that you are not alone!

Create a plan that is achievable and is not going to make you feel like a failure if you can’t follow it.

Most important of all....Know that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Namaste.
